HZT038201500 mechanical shaft seal is a high-precision sealing assembly made of stainless steel housing, SiC rotary and stationary rings, and NBR O-rings. Installed between the spacer sleeve (HZT029151800) and the flange (HZT029150391), it isolates the motor shaft from the vacuum chamber to prevent fluid leakage. Engineered for the HZT 15MBD marine vacuum sewage pump, this seal ensures reliable operation, excellent corrosion resistance, and long service life under marine sewage and vacuum toilet applications.

I. Présentation du produit

The HZT038201500 shaft seal is a core sealing component of the HZT 15MBD marine vacuum sewage pump. It is responsible for completely isolating liquid and gas when the motor-driven shaft rotates, preventing leakage in the vacuum chamber.

This assembly utilizes a SiC silicon carbide (SiC) rotor and stator ring pair, a 316 stainless steel housing, and an NBR seal ring structure to achieve high reliability, corrosion resistance, and long-life mechanical sealing performance.

It is installed between the HZT029151800 spacer sleeve and the HZT029150391 shaft seal flange, mounted on the outside of the motor shaft. Through precise axial positioning and compression, it forms a critical sealing barrier for the vacuum pump system.

II. Structure and Operating Principle

1. Rotary Ring:
Made of SiC silicon carbide, it is mounted on the motor shaft and rotates synchronously with the shaft. The surface is precision-ground for high hardness and excellent wear resistance.

2️⃣ Stationary Ring:
Also made of SiC, it is secured within the 316 stainless steel housing via a seal seat, forming a precision-ground pair with the rotating ring to maintain a micro-gap seal.

3️⃣ Secondary Sealing:
A highly oil- and temperature-resistant NBR O-ring (HZT037219210) is used.
This forms a flexible static seal between the stationary ring, the metal housing, and the flange, enhancing overall gas-liquid isolation.

4️⃣ Housing:
The housing is CNC-machined from 316L stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance and structural stability.
The housing’s exterior and the shaft seal flange (HZT029150391) utilize a compression mechanism, while internal elastic preload maintains the sealing pressure.

5️⃣ Working Principle:
When the motor drives the shaft, the dynamic ring rotates with it, while the static ring is fixed. An extremely thin liquid film (approximately 1μm) forms between the two rings, providing both lubrication and sealing, achieving dual gas-liquid isolation. When the pump stops, the spring and O-ring automatically return to their original position, maintaining seal contact.

III. Materials and Manufacturing Process

* Dynamic and static ring material: SiC (silicon carbide), wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and high-temperature resistant.

* Metal housing: 316 stainless steel (Marine Grade), CNC precision machined.

* Seal: NBR nitrile rubber, oil-resistant, anti-aging, and strong sealing.

* Processing:

* CNC precision turning + precision grinding + dynamic and static ring alignment testing.

* Sealing surface flatness is controlled within 2 light bands (approximately 0.0002mm).

* Fit clearance and specific pressure conform to ISO 3069 standards.

IV. Installation Position and Fitting

1. The shaft seal assembly is installed between the motor shaft and the vacuum chamber, connected to the HZT029151800 spacer sleeve in front and the HZT029150391 end flange in the rear.
2. The rotating seal rotates with the motor shaft, while the static seal connects to the fixed seal chamber of the pump body.
3. The shaft seal is secured by a threaded gland, with the standard tightening tolerance controlled at 0.5-1.0mm.
4. The O-ring and 316 flange surface ensure long-term leak-free operation.
