The HZT029150391 seal end flange is a fixed component of the shaft seal assembly of the HZT 15MBD marine vacuum sewage pump. It supports and compresses the stationary ring of the HZT038201500 mechanical seal, ensuring coaxiality between the seal end and the motor shaft and providing gas-liquid isolation.

This flange is a one-piece CNC-machined part made of 316 stainless steel. Its high-precision circular cavity directly engages and secures the rubber sleeve (the outer layer of the O-ring) on the mechanical seal’s outer ring, creating a stable and reliable seal. It mates with the motor cover at the rear to form the rear-end sealing structure of the pump body.

II. Structure and Function

* Disc-shaped flange with no external bolt holes;
* Centered recessed groove for accommodating the HZT038201500 stationary ring assembly;
* A stoppered surface at the bottom of the inner cavity ensures consistent seal compression depth;
* The back surface is flat and seals against the motor cover end face.

2️⃣ Assembly Method:

* The outer rubber sleeve (NBR) of the stationary ring forms an interference fit with the inner bore of the flange.

The seal is secured by inserting and clamping, eliminating the need for additional bolts.

* The front end is in close contact with the spacer sleeve (HZT029151800) and the dynamic ring sealing surface,

while the rear end is precisely aligned with the motor cover.

* Secures and tightens the mechanical seal’s static ring;
* Prevents shaft seal displacement or rotation;
* Provides end seal support and assembly datum;
* Ensures overall stability of the sealing system between the motor and pump body.

IV. Installation and Fitting

* Press the HZT038201500 mechanical seal stationary ring at the front end;
* Connect to the motor cover (15MBD) at the rear end;
* Use the HZT029151800 spacer sleeve for axial positioning;
* This forms an integrated sealing structure, ensuring complete isolation of the vacuum chamber.
